How to enroll

  1. Fill out The Enrollment form and carefully choose the study program you wish to attend.
    After you fill the Enrollment form, click "Submit" to sent it to us
  2. We will send you an email describing the Admission procedure and asking you to send us the documents:
    identification page of the passport (scan/copy),
    Master Degree Diploma - only students applying for language preparation before PhD studies at the university (scan/copy),
    a letter of motivation (giving reasons of your interest in the Slovak language course)
  3. After we receive the additional documents, the Study department will issue and send you the Acceptance letter with the tuition and payment details
  4. After receiving the tuition payment, the Study department issues Decision on Admission confirming you have settled the tuition and with this document you can apply for the temporary residence permit at the nearest Slovak embassy.

Until your arrival we would keep in touch informing you about the study, sending you pre-arrival information and answering your questions. However, we do not interfere in the decision process of the embassies or foreign police of Slovak republic.

Admission procedure

  • After receiving complete documents, the Admission Board considers the Enrolment Form of each applicant.
  • A student accepted to a programme by the Admission Board will receive the Letter of Acceptance, containing the amount of money for tuition and registration fees to be paid as well as the information about payment by bank transfer, which must be realised in advance. Contract Conditions are sent to the student together with the Letter of Acceptance.
  • Only after receiving payment to the bank account, UJOP will issue the Decision on Admission and Confirmation on Payment (in Slovak and English) and send them to the student´s address together with other useful information. Both documents must be attached to the application for temporary residence permit.
  • Detailed information about requirements regarding application for temporary residence permit in Slovakia for the purpose of study, so-called Student Visa, can be received at the responsible Slovak Embassy - List of Slovak Embassies

Students awarded scholarship of the Slovak Government or students coming upon inter-government agreements of the Ministry of Education of SR are accepted for studies at UJOP upon the nomination of the Ministry of Education of SR.
